My first post - I'm thrilled!

It is July 27th, and my personal countdown for going back to work has begun. Even though I am entering my 18th year in the teaching profession, I find that each school year is exciting and new, sort of like the Love Boat, except that cruise ship had a Lido deck, a bartender named Isaac, and Captain Stubbing and on our campus we have the pink and blue wings, several Coke machines, and Dr. Sailor at the helm. Be forewarned, I am not sure how this blog adventure of mine will turn out, but I am willing to write down my thoughts and reflections of a day in the life of a public school teacher, if you are willing to read them and take them for what they are worth. Just so you know, if you read my posts, what you glean from them is non-transferable and non-refundable, like most trips, unless you opt for the travel insurance, of course; so if you are the overly cautious type, make your checks payable to Nicole Honour, but be sure to read the fine print. I've never gotten back diddly-squat from my go-to on-line trip booking service, which will remain nameless due to the fact that I don't want my first post to be tagged for defamation, even though some trips were less than smooth-sailing. So today, I am pulling up my anchor, and am preparing to set sail. Year 18 awaits me, and my passport to middle-school social studies has been stamped. Over the next two weeks I will be getting the cabin ready and preparing the itinerary for another fabulous excursion. I'll keep you posted....   (comments and questions are encouraged)
